Five simple steps connect the family at the curb with the teacher in the classroom.
Parent or pickup staff
Family checks in on arrival
The parent requests a one-time location check at school, sees the distance and GPS accuracy, and checks in. If location is unavailable, staff can assist manually or scan the guardian’s temporary pickup pass.
Pickup staff
Staff verifies the pickup person
Staff checks the person in front of them against current pickup authorization. Only an explicit Verify & Request Release action sends a request to the correct teacher. GPS and QR scans never make this decision.
Teacher
Teacher sends the student
The teacher sees a verified release request for their class. When ready, they press Send Student. Pickup staff and the family see the child’s progress immediately.
Pickup staff
Staff confirms the handoff
After the child is with the verified pickup person, staff completes the pickup. The family sees the completion time, and the entire sequence remains in the school’s audit log.
